Thanks to a grant from the Caribbean Export Development Bank in collaboration with the European Union and the World Bank; we have been able to purchase a new bottle filling machine and upgrade our facility in order to improve our production capacity.
We have upgraded the electical power supply, secured the facility with perimeter fencing and vehicular gates, added a new production equipment, a storage shed, and procured larger processing tanks and a compressor. Further, we have completed our HACCP assessment and are finalising our food safety manuals.

Thanks to the support from the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) and the Korean Government, HKA has been given this incredible opportunity as a beneficiary of the FINPYME ExportPlus ITA Programme. By attending the show HoneyKist Apiaries was able to exploit this opportunity to its fullest.
We were able to i) gain a general understanding of the overall Asian market; and in particular, more detailed knowledge of the Korean market potential for our product; ii) Introduce and promote our product and its uses to the Korean market through the sampling and sale of our product; iii) Identify potential distributors/retailers for retail or food service/hospitality distribution of our product; and iv) To proudly represent and help promote Brand Jamaica as a viable source of high quality and unique gourmet products.

In March of this year, HoneyKist partnered with Pedro Plains Jamaica Jerk in order to take our products to the New York Restaurant and Food Service Show 2015, which was held in the "Big Apple"!
Over the three (3) day period of the show, our products served to reiterated the strength of Brand Jamaica in all its splendor and authentic glory. Now more than ever we are actively pursuing and re-engaging all efforts to bring our unique and innovative all natural Flavoured Honey Fusions to the North American market and in particular the east coast of the United States of America.
