JAMPRO Heads Export Mission To UK's Food & Drink Expo

The Food & Drink Expo is the UK's largest food and drink-focused trade show offering suppliers from the UK and around the world an opportunity to showcase products and services to key buyers and decision-makers involved in the grocery, food-service, wholesale, manufacturing and speciality retail sectors.

 

Excellent opportunity

Honeykist Apiaries director Yvonne Frederick recounted the 2010 experience at the Food & Drink Expo, stating, "We have been doing a number of JAMPRO events and it has been an excellent experience. I will never forget after the last expo in Birmingham when we got a call from someone who said they tasted our products and it was wonderful."

Simply Honey, Simply Tasty

Family company Honey Kist Apiaries Limited unveiled at last Sunday's Kingston Kitchen a concept that is both tasty and innovative. Its Simply Honey brand, which comes in two sizes — five and nine ounces — was first introduced in 2010 when the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) brought it to the World Trade Fair in Shanghai, China, where, according to Honey Kist director Yvonne Frederick, "the product was well-received".

 

As part of the Brand Jamaica 2012 initiative, JAMPRO has taken Simply Honey to New York, Canada and London, where the reception, as Frederick told Thursday Food, was "excellent". It is no surprise that people would be drawn to the Simply Honey brand. "The product includes no additives or preservatives," Frederick boasts. "It is raw honey infused with locally produced products."...

With a subtle 'kiss' of flavour, HoneyKist Honey Fusions adds a unique twist to your everyday meal.

 

Since 2009, the family-owned business of Yvonne Frederick, her children Malcolm Frederick and Michele Johnson, along with Michele's husband David, has been churning out a savoury 100 per cent pure Jamaican 'wild flower' honey, that has been infused with the savour of local fruits and spices. Thus far, five flavours -- ginger, lime, Blue Mountain coffee, pimento (allspice) and habañero (Scotch bonnet) -- are available, all without the addition of artificial flavours, ingredients or oils...
